The availability of displayed parameters varies depending on your vehicle and is entirely dictated by your vehicle’s control unit, not the Car Scanner app itself. To use Car Scanner ELM OBD2, you will need an ELM327-based OBD2 adapter that supports WiFi or Bluetooth 4.0. Please note that Bluetooth 2.0 adapters are not supported by iOS devices due to Apple restrictions. Recommended adapters include Kiwi 3, Viecar Bluetooth 4, V-Gate, Carista, LELink, Veepeak, and Konnwei KW903.
Beware of Incompatible Adapters: Be cautious of cheap ELM327 adapters, particularly version 2.1, often from Chinese manufacturers. These may not reliably connect to your smartphone or vehicle.
