Volvo S60 Inscription: Luxurious Scandinavian Design and Enhanced Comfort

The Volvo S60 Inscription elevates the S60 model with a focus on luxury, comfort, and spaciousness, specifically designed for the U.S. market. Unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the S60 Inscription boasts an additional 3.4 inches of rear legroom, achieving best-in-class rear passenger comfort.

Volvo Cars prioritizes understanding customer needs and expectations, resulting in the S60 Inscription. Building upon Volvo’s reputation for safety, efficient powertrains, and standard connectivity, the S60 Inscription incorporates luxurious materials, meticulous craftsmanship, and iconic Scandinavian design.

Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President of Product Strategy & Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Car Group, emphasized the brand’s commitment to delivering a premium experience. The S60 Inscription embodies this commitment through the use of natural materials, attention to detail, and a distinct design language.

The S60 Inscription showcases its Scandinavian heritage through the use of Linear Walnut trim and silk metal accents. Spacious rear seating and unique 19″ wheels further contribute to a comfortable and relaxing interior environment. Interior accent lighting and Inscription branded tread plates add to the refined ambiance.

The 2016 S60 Inscription offers two trim levels: Premier and Platinum. The Premier trim includes leather upholstery, a sunroof, and the Sensus Navigation package. The T5 engine is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

The Platinum trim builds upon the Premier features, adding the complete Sensus technology package, a premium Harman Kardon audio system, dual Xenon headlights, and a comprehensive convenience package designed to enhance the driving experience.

Kerssemakers highlighted the competitive edge of the S60 Inscription in the mid-size sedan segment, citing the integration of the Harman Kardon sound system and comprehensive connectivity features.

The Volvo S60 Inscription provides a compelling blend of luxury, comfort, and Scandinavian design. With its extended rear legroom and premium features, the S60 Inscription offers a sophisticated driving experience tailored to the needs of discerning drivers. The S60 Inscription went on sale in the U.S. in the summer of 2015.
