Car Scanner Pro offers a powerful way to monitor your vehicle’s performance data through a user-friendly interface. However, some users have reported experiencing glitches with the CarPlay integration, particularly with data updates. While the app launches in CarPlay mode, the values may not refresh automatically. A workaround involves interacting with the app on the phone itself, which then triggers data updates in the CarPlay display. This suggests a potential communication issue between the app and CarPlay.
Furthermore, understanding the units of measurement within Car Scanner Pro can be crucial for accurate data interpretation. Two data points, “Additional consumers” and “HV Auxiliary consumer power,” appear to track the same metric. When both are set to the same unit (e.g., horsepower or kilowatts), they display identical values. However, when set to different units, the displayed values reflect the correct conversion ratio (0.746 kW per HP). This understanding helps in standardizing units across various measurements, such as expressing power consumption in kilowatts.
A challenge arises when attempting to calculate total power consumption. While the app provides data for battery consumption and additional consumers, it lacks a dedicated metric for motor power. Although motor current and voltage are available, the app doesn’t automatically calculate their product to determine power output.
This raises the question: where does the energy from the 400-volt battery go? While some power is clearly directed to the motor and auxiliary consumers, other destinations remain unclear. Perhaps this information is embedded within the inverter data, requiring further investigation to decipher. Unlocking the ability to track the complete power flow from the battery would provide a more comprehensive understanding of vehicle energy consumption and efficiency.
